![]() ![]() ![]() Haus Murphy's 5739 W Glendale Ave, Glendale Overall a good experience and I would try it again I can understand that if there’s a history of people getting water cups and filling them with drinks that are not water, but I feel like that’s just a risk you have to take as a restaurant to be able to offer that to your customers, especially in such hot Phoenix heat. One more small complaint is they don’t offer free water (no water cups). I suggest the parents of these kids maybe keep a closer eye on them. The younger girl kept trying to give my baby gum, money, juice we didn’t pay for, and small doll shoes that he could easily choke on. The older girl hit my baby in the head (not hard- it didn’t hurt him) but it made it difficult to enjoy our meal since I was constantly trying to guard my baby from the older girls who kept trying to “play” with him while we were eating. They were both as cute as can be, however they kept messing with my 16 month old sitting in a high chair at the end of our table. There were also two younger girls (who I assumed were the owner’s/workers’ daughters) who kept coming up to our table. I think the whole process could be much more streamline, if there was more explanation. What I found to be true is you choose the salad, which they consider tzatziki sauce as a salad apparently. ![]() So, I assumed that meant a regular Greek salad and then you choose 2 appetizers. I believe I ordered a plate and it said it came with a salad and 2 appetizers. ![]() My only real complaint is that the process of ordering what you want is confusing and they didn’t explain anything to us about how it worked. We also received a complimentary small bowl of lentil soup and a complimentary dessert sampler. We were also warmly greeted by all the people who worked there (I’m assuming they also own and run the place). The eggplant soup is AMAZING!! Highly recommend. Dining room and bathrooms seemed clean and pleasant. Food was delicious and seemed very authentic. Įat & Go Mediterranean Cuisine 4354 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendaleġst time there. Now, when am I going to be in that neighborhood again? I must try the eggplant salad, the tabouli, and the schwarma, and I can't wait to have more falafel. By the way, my companion and I could have easily shared a plate, but we're happy that we didn't because we had another delightful meal the following day. Enough, already! But, not quite because the baklava bites were also heavenly. I believe I detected a flavor of fresh lemon juice and the soup is divine. On their website, they do rave a bit about their lentil soup, and well they should! I like lentil soup, but I've never tasted anything like theirs. The accompanying bread was warm and perfect for dipping the olive oil-drizzled freshly made hummus, which, again, rivaled the best I'd had previously, which was freshly made by a native of Lebanon. I immediately ordered a falafel plate and the day just got better and better! The beautiful salad, dressed with a lime wedge was fresh and, surprisingly delicious for a simple salad. As if that weren't enough, the vegan tahini was also scrumptious. This one, if not better, assuredly gave it a run for the money. He was right! I had my first and, until now, best falafel in a lovely little Druze community on Mount Carmel in 2006. The owner(?) greeted us as we came in and offered a sample falafel, saying it would change our world. I saw an article that said that Casa De Falafel is the #2 falafel restaurant in the USA so I had to try it when I was in the neighborhood.
